Nurse Nathan

We have some relatives visiting from Wisconsin this weekend. They come every January to escape the snow and to get out and play some golf. Anyway, poor Tyson encountered a not so friendly Arizona cactus while looking for his golf ball. His leg was full of nasty little prickers. Nathan was helping with the flashlight, so Tyson could pick them all out.

Christmas 2008

My side of the family celebrated Christmas on December 28. It was my dad, our family, my sister Wendy's family, and my mom's best friend Karen and husband and daughter. It was a nice day, with a few tears shed as we remembered my mom. If you read my earlier posts, you might remember that my mom wanted her body donated for medical research. Duke University Medical Center accepted her donation. In her honor, we got my dad and the grandkids Duke shirts for Christmas.

Polar Express - December 5, 2008

Our family went on the Polar Express Train ride this year that is up in Williams, AZ. It was our first time and the kids loved it so much we bought our tickets for December 2009 (it books that fast). It was a really cold night, but it didn't snow (maybe next year).

Joshua's 5th Birthday

Joshua was born on Thanksgiving Day (November 27), 2003. His birthday fell on Thanksgiving Day this year. Although we encouraged a "family" party, he wanted a party with his "friends." So we rented a bouncy house and invited all of his friends over the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Tractor fun

Our next door neighbor drove his "work vehicle" home one weekend and parked it in our street. The kids loved it.

Halloween 2008

I didn't get too many pictures at Halloween. My kids won't stand still long enough for me to take their picture. Joshua was Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story and Nathan was a Yellow Lab puppy dog. Nathan's picture is blurry, but it is the best I have. Joshua's picture was taken at his preschool.

San Diego trip October 15-18, 2008

I've been experiencing some computer problems over the last few months that are now resolved. I hope to catch you all up. We were in San Diego the weekend before my mom passed away. We went to Lego Land, the beach and the San Diego Zoo. Here are a few pictures.
